My SO got a sub from Subway yesterday, and I asked the lady if I could see the ingredients for the wheat bread. She cut out the ingredients list for me to take with me, so I figured I'd post them to let those Australians know what's in the wheat bread, in case you were curious.

Wheat Bread
Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Water, Yeast, Wheat Bran Sugar, Wheat Gluten, Canola Oil, Salt, Palm Oil, Soya Flour, Emulsifiers (472a, 481, 471), Malt Flour, Caramel, Enzymes, Food Acids (300, 330), Thiamine, Preservative (202), Anti-caking Agents (551, 535).

I haven't been able to find something saying whether the emulsifiers are definitely from animal source, nor 'Enzymes'.

I'm fairly sure I found out years ago that the enzyme is animal-sourced amylase. Though I just assumed this because the brand is Rositas and they use amylase. But even then amylase can be sourced from plants, though as far as I know that's rare since animal enzymes are cheap.
Best to call them, I suppose.
